About us

Design Mode is the brainchild of Rheana Coon, the founder and Design Director. With a collective 35 years in the industry, there is nothing the team at Design Mode can't do. Design Mode is a full-service, one-stop-shop "all things design" company with a special focus on event design and production. Specializing in traveling events, we come to your venue to create magic for your special occasions, handling all aspects of the design, decor, and florals. Our team includes some of the best designers, fabricators, and florists you will ever meet...we know you'll love them!

Rheana Coon

Owner and Director of Design

Rheana got started in the design world at a young age...seven! She was the official "glitter girl" for her father's catering company in San Diego, Ca. Fast forward to High School, she worked in the local flower shop after school and fell in love with the art of floral design. After years of working in florals, she moved to Las Vegas to work in the world-famous Bellagio Resort, where she honed her craft of Floral Design creating florals for the casino's events and weddings, the famous lobby conservatory display, and the private villas.

Years later she ran her own event design and production company in San Diego where her love for events grew to her absolute passion, and her and her team travelled all throughout the west coast doing amazing events in places like San Francisco, Las Vegas, New York, Los Angeles and more!

Rheana's love for events and decorating later began to expand to home decor and she realized she was meant to do it all. Rheana runs on Coffee and Wine and is always in constant Design MODE.

Rheana currently lives in Phoenix, Az with her dog Lily, but there is no place she won't go for her clients and often decorates events, weddings, and homes all over the West Coast, Hawaii, and beyond!

HMMM. WHEN I WAS A KID IT WAS DIRTY DANCING, THEN EMPIRE RECORDS WHEN I WAS A TEEN/YOUNG ADULT. NOW I'D HAVE TO SAY A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN!

WHAT FOOD DO YOU DISLIKE?

BLACK OLIVES, AND SALMON. SO YUCK. EWW.

NEXT DREAM VACATION SPOT?

I'M MISSING BALI...BUT MAYBE THAILAND....AND THEN BALI AGAIN! IT'S JUST SO MAGICAL. (Although I have wine tasting in New Zealand on my bucket list!)

Angela Williams

General Manager

Mama of three and grandma of seven), Angela has been in the events industry for 25 years. She has created events all over the country, specializing in the Bay area and Las Vegas markets, and is now helping Design Mode conquer Phoenix and California. She has run event venues, she's done catering, and she's worked in and owned her own event rental company...she does it all!
